Marshall N. White Center Advisory Committee Meeting Meeting Results April 14th, 2021 Electronic Via Zoom Meeting 4:00 PM 222 28th St, Ogden, Utah 84401 Call to Order and Reading of Determination – Chair Ronald White  Meeting was called to order by Chair White at 4:00PM Attendees: Present Absent Camille Cook Gerod Sawyer Ronald White Sean Bishop Regina Esparza Tom Debole Edd Bridge Priscilla Martinez Clairesse Miljour Sara Yearsley Carlos Grava Tanner Koons – entered late Nathan Leavitt – VCBO Brent Tippets – VCBO Approval of Minutes from 3-10-2021 Meeting  Motion to approve minutes by member Camille Cook, 2nd by member Clairesse Miljour, motion passed with no opposition. 1. New Business a. Introduction of new recreation supervisor for the Marshall White Center – Edd Bridge  Member Camille Cook introduced Todd Skeen as the new supervisor over the Marshall N. White Center.  Todd Skeen spoke a bit about himself to the committee. b. Nomination and Election of Vice Chair  Sabrina Lee explained that the committee needed to nominate a new vice chair, member Regina Esparza was nominated and voted in at the 3-10 meeting, however she cannot serve since she is a non-voting member of the committee.  Chair Ronald White opened the floor to nominations  Member Sean Bishop nominated member Gerod Sawyer  Member Priscilla Martinez nominated member Sean Bishop; member Camille Cook 2nd the nomination.  Roll call vote was taken, nomination passed unanimously, Member Sean Bishop will be Vice Chair of the committee  c. Survey Open House Report – Whitney Ward VCBO  Whitney Ward of VCBO, who joined the meeting late, reported that the open houses went well, there were 32 people, not affiliated with the committee that joined the meeting. 2. Sub- Committee Reports a. Community Outreach Sub-Committee – Chair Priscilla Martinez  Chair Priscilla Martinez announced that they are waiting to meet until they are needed for more community outreach b. Programming Sub-Committee – Chair Tanner Koons  Member Sara Yearsley and Chair Tanner Koons reported that the sub-committee is working on a recommendation letter requesting spacing for all kinds of programming to VCBO as well as the City Council that asks for spaces/rooms based on programs we can have and to have those spaces be multi space uses. c. Legacy Sub-Committee – Chair Clairesse Miljour  Chair Clairesse Miljour reported that the sub-committee had its first meeting last Friday and will meet again this next Friday. They will have more to report at the next meeting. 3. Public Comment – Limit to 3 minutes  Joanne Lawrence o Thanked the committee for the survey results, had an issue logging onto the 12pm meeting though o Joanne asked for a copy of the survey results, asked when what meeting the survey results were discussed, and when the 2/10/2021 meeting minutes will be posted  Sabrina Lee, asked Chair White is she could address the questions, he approved.  Sabrina explained that all minutes are posted to the city website after they have been approved by the committee. They are not immediately available because the committee only meets once a month, and at that time approved the previous months minutes. The survey results will be posted with the minutes from the public meeting held on 3/10/2021, when those minutes are approved by the committee at the next meeting. If there is difficulty in finding meeting minutes, all requests should go through the City Recorder’s Office.
