White Center Advisory Committee Meeting Meeting Results August 11th, 2021 Electronic Via Zoom Meeting 4:00 PM 222 28th St, Ogden, Utah 84401 Call to Order  Vice Chair Sean Bishop called the meeting to order at 4:05 pm Attendees: Present Absent Camille Cook Ron White Sean Bishop Tanner Koons Clairesse Miljour Sara Yearsley Todd Skeen McKayla Thomas Priscilla Martinez Gerod Sawyer Edd Bridge Regina Esparza Tom Debole Brent Tippets – VCBO Nathan Leavitt - VCBO Approval of Minutes from 7-14-2021  Member Priscilla Martinez motioned to approve the 7-14-2021 minutes, Member Clairesse Miljour 2nd the motion, motion to approve passed with no opposition. New Business o NAACP Town Hall with Congressman Blake Moore Aug. 26th 7:30 PM  Vice Chair Sean Bishop informed the committee that we had been asked to have a table. The committee decided to have boards of the VCBO designs for the public to see. o Backpack Event Volunteers August 14th at the MWC – Regina Esparza  Committee member Regina Esparza gave the details of the event. August 14th, 12- 3 pm, she wasn’t sure if we would have a table or be helping to pass out the backpacks.  Vice Chair Sean Bishop said he may be able to help, and McKayla Thomas said she would be there. 2. Public Comment – Limit to 3 minutes per person o Participants are to state their name for the record. o Comments which cannot be made within these limits should be submitted in writing to the committee at 1875 Monroe Blvd or by email (marshallwhiteadvisorycommittee@ogdencity.com)   Suzanne Daily o Suzanne offered the committee details in regard to the town hall meeting with Congressman Blake Moore, it is open to the public at 6:30 pm, and Congressman Moore will speak at 7:30 pm. o Community table is wanted at the Marshall White Center to get federal funding, state funding, they would like photos of the designs.  Kathie Darby o Kathy thanked the committee, stated they had done an amazing job and have done it quickly.  Joanne Lawrence o Joanne thanked the committee o Congratulated member Priscilla Martinez o Encouraged everyone to come to the town hall so that there is a large showing about getting funding for the center  Adrienne Andrews o Adrienne suggested that we reach out to the Walker Institute to help get the word out about Congressman Moore coming  CJ Hernandez o CJ thanked the committee for the invite, stated the Diversity Commission will have a table.
