3 Arts Summit
a Arts Summ1t was January 25'h and was well attended Lone created a pnvate Facebook
Group called Arts Summit to help with commumcat10n between art1sts and orgamzat1ons
b Next meetmg will be m May sometime and will have Turner Bitton from Utah Cultural
Alliance speakmg on how to lobby the leg1slature correctly
c Brandon- on Facebook you can choose to "see first" from a drop down hst on pages that
you don't want lost m your feed This will help us to keep the relevant thmgs where we
won't m1ss them

4 Master Plan Update
a Master Plan IS gomg m front of Ctty Council February 28th Please mark thts on your
calendar to come and support the adoption of thts document Ctty Council sessiOn starts
at6pm
5 Arts on the Town
a Arts on the Town wtll be held Apnl 26th or 27th
b Suggestions for locatiOn are Salty Creative, Urban Studto 25, The Bmldmg, and the
Parlour Lone wtll get btds from these locatiOns Sandy also suggested usmg
Organtzations that recetve Art Grants to host the event free of charge
c Suggested catenng Peddlers, Sonora Gnll, That Kttchen
6 Arts Grants Update
a 17I 18 Grant Cycle ts open Grant applicatiOns are due March 15th
7 FF AS update
a The February stroll was the least attended for Van Sesstons The 100 and 200 blocks
were dead
b February Stroll bemg held m conJunction wtth Yett Bash was not a good collaboration for
the Art Stroll The Yeti Bash was closed off and people dtdn 't leave the area
c Maybe we should have put up stgnage at the Bash to remmd people that the stroll was
gomg on??
d Gallenes need to be marketmg themselves, not just relymg on the ctty marketmg the
stroll
e We should schedule a meetmg wtth Downtown Alltance and FF AS Sub Committee to
encourage better marketmg plans
f Need to requtre the Gallenes use the new Art Stroll logo m all ofthetr marketmg Lone
wtll send It out to them
g Need to enforce new artists, wmdow dtsplays or reorganizatiOn of spaces to change up
what the art stroll attendees are v~ewmg each month A lot of the gallenes are showmg

b It wtll run from UniOn StatiOn up to Jefferson, and mclude the Ltbrary and other
locatiOns
c Brandon will make announcements dunng the ntght on hts speakers dunng Van SessiOns

3 Arts Summit

4 Master Plan Update
a Master Plan is going in front of City Council February 28th Please mark this on your calendar to come and support the adoption of
this document City Council session starts at 6pm
5 Arts on the Town
a Arts on the Town will be held April 26th or 27th
b Suggestions for location are Salty Creative, Urban Studio 25, The Building, and the Parlour Lone will get bids from these locations
Sandy also suggested using Organizations that receive Art Grants to host the event free of charge
c Suggested catering Peddlers, Sonora Grill, Thai Kitchen
6 Arts Grants Update
a 17/18 Grant Cycle is open Grant applications are due March 15th
7 FFAS update
a The February stroll was the least attended for Van Sessions The 100 and 200 blocks were dead
b February Stroll being held in conjunction with Yeti Bash was not a good collaboration for the Art Stroll The Yeti Bash was closed
off and people didn't leave the area
c Maybe we should have put up signage at the Bash to remind people that the stroll was going on99
d Galleries need to be marketing themselves, not just relying on the city marketing the stroll
e We should schedule a meeting with Downtown Alliance and FFAS Sub Committee to encourage better marketing plans
f Need to require the Galleries use the new Art Stroll logo in all of their marketing Lone will send it out to them
g Need to enforce new artists, window displays or reorganization of spaces to change up what the art stroll attendees are viewing
each month A lot of the galleries are showing the same stuff over and over
h Lone will try to calculate a dollar amount of marketing benefits the galleries receive by joining the Art Stroll
8 Time Based Arts Fest- Jake/Scott
a The Festival will now be called Moments It will be held May 5th and have 30 different artists and locations with projections,
lighting, Interactive installations, and performances to name just a few
b It will run from Union Station up to Jefferson, and include the Library and other locations
c Brandon will make announcements during the night on his speakers during Van Sessions
d Need to ask the Galleries to stay open later on this night

a Brandi- Ogden Nature Center is gearing up for the Birdhouse Camp , the deadline to enter is March 20th, exhibit opens in April
Earth Day poster contest is coming up in April and the Fun Run is in May
b Jake- Creative District public input session is scheduled for March 15th 5 30pm at Union Station Need to include Todd Oberndorfer
so he can invite WSU students to the session Jake is also working on the ArtPiace grant application with Sara Meess and Ogden City

c Mike- Chamber Orchestra's next concert will be on April 8th, Upside Down and Backwards Piano Man will be held at Perry's NEXT
Ensemble will have their next concert in Layton on May 5th
d Russ- Was in Denver at Ani me Land Wasabi for his first book signing last weekend Will be in Dallas All-Con for his next book
