c Some of the gallenes have voiced that they are unhappy w1th the structure of the stroll

a An RFP for a destgn firm to create a conceptual destgn for the Creative Dtstnct ts open
for a few more days NEA Grant funds wtll pay for the concept destgn work
b Three pubhc mput sesstons are bemg held to collect pubhc opmtons of the Creattve
Dtstnct, March 16th at the Parlour for busmess owners, March 29th at Umon Statton for
the pubhc hvmg m and around the dtstnct, and Apnl (TBD) for the cttywtde meetmg
c 529 25th Street has open office/studto space m the Creattve Coahtwn butldmg bemg run

5 Arts on the Htll- Ahcta
a Ten, Altcta, Kase, Susan, Scott and Dtane attended Arts Day on the Htll They had
meetmgs wtth 4 Reps and 1 Senator
b Representative Dtxon Pttcher seemed to be the most receptive of those the group met
wtth The group met m hts office and dtscussed the dtspanty m fundmg allocatiOn wtthm
the state Ten mformed htm that SLC gets 60 cents a person and Ogden ts funded at 06
cents per person respectively He was very concerned to hear thts
c We need to stay m contact wtth the State Legtslators, the Legtslattve subcommtttee wtll
be m charge ofthts We can send them our meetmg agendas and mvtte them to events
6 New Subcommtttee Plan- Ahcta
a Ahcta has restructured the subcommtttee hne up because we need stronger more active
subcommtttees
b Arts on the Town and Mayor Awards wtll now be handled by the enttre commtttee wtth
Lone domg all the actual orgamzmg The Commtttee wtll be expected to help at each
event
c The new Sub-Commtttees are as follows FF AS, Arts Summtt, Legtslattve, Marketmg,
Ltterary, Pubhc Art, Art Grants Each subcommtttee wtll need a member to serve as chatr
and report to the whole commtttee each month at our meetmgs Altcta wtll send out the
descnpt10n and ttme commitment for each of these
d All committee members wtll be asstgned an annual report m Apnl that wtll be due m
June/July These reports must show how the arts m Ogden are relatmg to the Master Plan
for Arts and Culture and have a couple of action ttems for the commg year These wtll be
complted by Lone mto an Annual Report that wtll be gtvmg to Ctty Counctl and the
Mayor We could also send these to the State Legtslators

1 Welcome and Call to Order- Alicia Washington
a Approval of February minutes

2 City Council visiting OCAAC Meeting- Alicia
a Alicia has been working with Marcia White to have a member of City Council sit in on, or visit our meetings occasionally for Q&A
b Marcia is working with the Council to see if this idea will work
3 FFAS Update- Alicia
a Platforms was a great success, attendance of all ages WSU Shaw Gallery show was great, very beautiful and interesting work
Wasatch and The Parlour were also well attended
b Van Sessions was booted from the Union Station and did their show at Platforms
c Some of the galleries have voiced that they are unhappy with the structure of the stroll They don't like having non Art Gallery
participants competing with them
d Photoshoppe Gallery is closing down on March 1 8th
e Russ has the Beetlejuice suit from the movie, we will have it on display for April art stroll
4 Creative District- Jake
a An RFP for a design firm to create a conceptual design for the Creative District is open for a few more days NEA Grant funds will
pay for the concept design work
b Three public input sessions are being held to collect public opinions of the Creative District, March 16' at the Parlour for business
owners, March 29" at Union Station for the public living in and around the district, and April (TBD) for the citywide meeting
c 529 25' Street has open office/studio space in the Creative Coalition building being run by James Argo Check it out if you need
office space
5 Arts on the Hill- Alicia
a Ten, Alicia, Kase, Susan, Scott and Diane attended Arts Day on the Hill They had meetings with 4 Reps and 1 Senator
b Representative Dixon Pitcher seemed to be the most receptive of those the group met with The group met in his office and
discussed the disparity in funding allocation within the state Ten informed him that SLC gets 60 cents a person and Ogden is funded
at 06 cents per person respectively He was very concerned to hear this
c We need to stay in contact with the State Legislators, the Legislative subcommittee will be in charge of this We can send them our
meeting agendas and invite them to events
6 New Subcommittee Plan- Alicia
a Alicia has restructured the subcommittee line up because we need stronger more active subcommittees
b Arts on the Town and Mayor Awards will now be handled by the entire committee with Lone doing all the actual organizing The
Committee will be expected to help at each event
c The new Sub-Committees are as follows FFAS, Arts Summit, Legislative, Marketing, Literary, Public Art, Art Grants Each
subcommittee will need a member to serve as chair and report to the whole committee each month at our meetings Alicia will send
out the description and time commitment for each of these
d All committee members will be assigned an annual report in April that will be due in June/July These reports must show how the
arts in Ogden are relating to the Master Plan for Arts and Culture and have a couple of action items for the coming year These will
be compiled by Lone into an Annual Report that will be giving to City Council and the Mayor We could also send these to the State
Legislators
e Lone will redo the Sub-Committee sign up form and send you all copies
7 Arts on the Town- Lone
a Will be held April 26th
b Venue suggestions are Salty Creative, The Building, Zucca Basement, Olive & Dahlia
c Catering suggestions are Great Harvest, Peddlers, Thai Curry, Coffee Links
d Lone will get bids from these locations for our Event
e Please think of programing ideas for the night of April 26'h Last year we did a video, should it be the same9

Deidra & Laney Rob a Train This movie was filmed in part here in Ogden
b Brandon- April 8th is the Ogden Climbing Festival at Union Station from 7-9pm
c Wes- Treehouse's Cowboy Musical opens this weekend
d Mike- Chamber Orchestra Ogden will have a concert at the Egyptian on April 8th at
7 30pm, tickets are $5 00
Susan- NEXT Ensemble has a concert on April 1st at Alleged
f Scott- Platform's Matrix Evolutions will continue for the April Art Stroll
g Russ- Will be providing the Beetlejuice suit for the April Art Stroll Jane Font has been contacted to see if she wants to
display it in her gallery
h Brandi- Ogden Nature Center Birdhouse Camp entries are due March 25th Also the Wasatch Wildside party will be at Alleged on
March 30th
