• Overall the art stroll was not as busy, maybe due to the cold
• Eccles had a good turnout for theu high school showcase, It will be up all month
• The Argo House was busier at the begmnmg, Daryl's art will contmue be up through
March with some updated pieces
• DaV me I Academy had a lot of foot traffic for their b1g student showcase
• Van Sesswns had a good crowd for their first mdoor podcast at The Monarch
• Arts on the Town Pre-Plannmg- Lone Buckley
a Lone gave a tentative date of Apnl25, 2019, locatiOn sttll to be determmed Russ offered
his location as a possible venue for the event
• She IS lookmg for suggestiOns on how to make the event a social one but also structured
• It was suggested that maybe have 1-2 presentattons from grantees about then umque
projects
• Pub he Art- Lone Buckley
• The rankmgs ae now with the Economic and Development department It will go to the
Director's meetmg and to City Council Lone ts hopmg that the timehne will somehow
comcide with the ordmance change
o The Nme Ratls ProJects IS done and each person IS under contract There are five new
proJects startmg soon
o Arts Grants- Lone Buckley
o Arts Grants open January 14, 2019 The grant workshops are on January 31 at noon and
6 30 p m The cycle wtll close on March 15
o Lone ts workmg on Ramp Grants that are due January 18th and the local Arts Agency
Grants on February 15

o We are m need of two people total to JOtn the Arts Commtttee to fill the open spots
One for the Ltterary and Theater seat We have received two recommendations and Lone
wtll ematl thetr mfonnatwn out to everyone so they can vote
o Any recommendations please ematl to Lone so a vote can be done at the next meetmg

• Everyone has been submittmg theirs wtth a few holes due to the hohday and members no
longer wtth us

about reachmg the commumty The class wtll be workmg on followmg up on their

he will have an Arts on the Park Booth He ts teachmg two classes this semester at Weber
State Umversity He IS also exctted to have Van Sess10ns mstde The Monarch
o Susan- Next Ensemble has a New Year New Music event happenmg Thursday, January
10 at Kaffe Mercantile at 7 p m On January 12'11 at Alleged three new pteces will premter
for this event On February 15 at Umon Gnll they will host a date mght with food and a
performance
o Nestor- Wmte1 Market IS startmg up on January 19 and 0-town Kitchen w111 have a
booth
o Jess-Tomorrow IS the VIP Town Hall meetmg at 9 am at the Bigelow for an hour 10
am they wtll have the Spike 150 Spec1al presentatiOn The Wmter Market will run from
January 19 to February 23 There Will be hve music, yoga and other fun stuff happenmg
There ate 52 vendors workmg from 9 am -2 p m The Jumor League will have
performances Feb 7, 8, 9 of The Vagma Monologues Nme Ratls Will have the1r meetmg
February 19 at noon at the Weber County Library As for the New Year's Eve
celebration, they had under 200 m attendance, the food was dehctous, and they also
received positive feedback and are thmkmg about what to plan for next year
o Russ- Ogden UnCon will have a booth up at Yeti Bash to pass out fliers He w11l be
makmg a guest appearance m Texas at another smaller conventiOn It has not been
officially been unannounced by Hansen Robotics has a mtm verst on of Sofia There are
exclusive Items that w111 be giVen away m conJunctiOn wtth event commg up m June
o Deja- Nothmg IS happemng until March 1 & 2 for the Choreography Festival at the
Egyptian Theater She JUSt recently performed at the Wmter Solstice event on December
21
ct Mzchael- The Red Dress concert IS commg up on January 26 at 7 30 p m at Peery's
Egyptian Theater He passed out fliers of the program hne up and for everyone to share
the event Then on March 23 there IS a famtly concert wtth mustc mspired by Fatry Tales
such as Beauty and the Beast and Sleepmg Beauty combmed wtth Art AuctiOn The
purpose of the auctiOn IS to ratse money for music and art scholarships
• Gma- For the next art stroll she ts plannmg to do an lnstagram Takeover w1th Ogden
Downtown Alhance A way to market the arts and Yeti Bash happenmg at the same time
She IS also domg a campaign on social media to help brmg awareness about arts Any
suggestions for locatiOns would be helpful
e Brandon - The Banyan Collective has a new trader to add to their collectiOn He IS
hopmg that the Van Will still be ok to do podcasts m for Februa1y and March Nme Ratls
podcasts has another new one commg up soon
• Derek- He d1d an aud1t on Chnstmas Vtllage He IS hopmg to diversrfy the characters
and species that are already done However, he would hke to update the puppets,
sculptures and have someone help sew costumes, so they are updated
o Scott- Nothmg new happenmg He has Darryl's' exlub1t up 111 the Argo House until the
end of February On January 16, Darryl will have a talk at The Argo House Scott also
received an award for the Uncon Pops event 111 June
