Susan Campbell • First Fnday Art Stroll - Update- All • The art stroll had more foot tJaffic than usual due to the Yeti Bash at Umon Station • There was a constant flow of people fm Ogden Uncon who had a booth at the bash • Gallery 25, Ramy Day Emponum & Zucca downstaus all had steady foot traffic • Van SessiOns had a good turn out and It helped that It started after the Yeti Bash • People were d1sappomted that the gallenes at Umon StatiOn were closed • Arts on the Town - Lone Buckley • The date IS Apnl 25, 2019 at The Monarch • Lone sa1d that she would like the committees help 111 choosmg two grantees that could speak at the event • She IS lookmg for someone to play music and IS thmkmg about havmg food from Zucca • There will be a siideshow of pictures on display for eve1yone to look at • Public Art/Creative D1stnct- Lone Buckley • The proJects that were voted on are stiiim process We are wa1tmg on the ordmance change to proceed fm wa1 d  • The call for art1st IS out for everyone to share and apply to The proJects are the boxes and the poster contest for Sp1ke 150 • Lone sa1d they have found a grant wnter to help find money, Kate Badoe To create proJects, they will use Umon Creative to help m thts area • Arts Grants - Lone Buckley • The arts grants are due March 15 It was d1scussed tfthe comm1ttee would hke to rece1ve the grants as they come m or one at a ttme • It was dec1ded that a meetmg wtll be setup before March 15 w1th the subcommittee to go over questwns about the grants recetved • Arts Day on the Hill- Lone Buckley • The event IS February 21 m Salt Lake C1ty It was recommended that everyone who can go should go The more people there, the better to help commumcate what 1mpact the fundmg would help • If anyone IS not able to go, they can still have the1r vo1ce heard by contactmg thetr local representative and wnte an email Explam what money you rece1ve from the state and how your program 1mpacts locally • Upcommg 1tems of Importance- Lone • Nme Ralls D1stnct has the1r meetmg, February 19 at noon at the L1brary • Arts+ Actwn 1s February 21 at The Argo House • Mountam West Arts Conference- reg1strat10n- Lone Buckley • You can buy your tickets now for early-b1rd pncmg In March the pnces will go up • Comm1ttee Recommendations- Lone Buckley • Everyone on the committee was g1ven a ballot to fill out and return to the front • There were three recommendations voted out There was a fourth, but the mformatwn was m1splaced Russ sa1d he will resubmit the mformatton electromcally • Per Lone, Jess may want to be the Literary pos1t10n • It was suggested that a draft be wntten up for a grant through Utah Humamt1es • Update from D1vers1ty CommiSSion -Taylor • Ogden Symphony IS rebrandmg themselves brmgmg new changes th1s year They are startmg off by havmg a nbbon cuttmg ceremony on March 20 at 3 30 p m at the Art Center • They are workmg w1th a company who has sent out surveys to see what would be best for Improvements It IS a great way to kick offthe1r 70111 Anmversary • On Fnday the D1verstty CommiSSIOn w1ll have mtervtews w1th SIX candtdates for thetr open pos1t10ns • They are also workmg with Ogden CAN to help brmg awareness about the poverty m Ogden • A resource fa1r IS m the works to help people between the ages 16-21 with JObs There seems to be a gap ofJObs for th1s age group .• ;t ". -
