Sweet called the meeting to order at 5:45 p.m. ROLL CALL T. Enright read roll call. J. Rucinski and J. Dwaileebe were absent. READING AND APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM August 27, 2025 B. Eaton noted the misspelling of a public hearing speaker. O. Tertinek noted that T. Enright, not himself, was the reader of the application. B. Eaton made a motion to approve the minutes as amended, seconded by O. Tertinek. Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS • 138 N. 17th Street (Area Variance #2025370) T. Enright read the application from Harvard Hitchcock to request the construction of a six-foot high vinyl fence 32” from the sidewalk. This request will vary from the front yard requirements of a corner lot per Article 28, Section 10.7.5 of the City of Olean Zoning Law. The Board reviewed the SEQR Part 1. K. Sweet made a motion to classify it as a Type II action, seconded by T. Enright. Voice vote, ayes all. Motion carried. T. Enright made a motion to set the public hearing date for November 12, 2025 at 5:47 pm, seconded by O. Tertinek. Voice vote, ayes all. Motion carried. The applicant was noted as present. He briefly explained that he intends to use the proposed fence to prevent further thefts from occurring and to protect his daughter and granddaughter who reside on the property. ADJOURNMENT T.
