Sweet called the meeting to order at 5:46 p.m. ROLL CALL T. Enright read roll call. O. Tertinek was absent. READING AND APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM January 14, 2026 T. Enright made a motion to approve the minutes as presented, seconded by S. Rogers. Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS • 104 N. 18th Street Area Variances #2026098(a)(b) T. Enright read the area variance application from Jennifer Salerno to build a landing to the front door with steps that come within 8 ft of the sidewalk. This request if granted will vary from Article 4 Section 2.3 of the City of Olean Zoning Law. The Board reviewed the SEQR. K. Sweet made a motion to classify it as a type II listed action, seconded by B. Eaton. Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried. K. Sweet made a motion to declare the application complete, seconded by T. Enright. Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried. T. Enright made a motion to set a public hearing for Wednesday May 27, 2026 at 5:48 pm, seconded by K. Sweet. Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried. T. Enright read the second area variance application from Jennifer Salerno to widen driveway up to the property line at the top of the driveway only. This request if granted will vary from Article 10, Section 3.5.1.B of the City of Olean Zoning Law. The Board reviewed the SEQR. K. Sweet made a motion to classify this a type II listed action, seconded by J. Rucinski. Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried. K. Sweet made a motion to declare the application complete, seconded by L. Edstrom. Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried. T. Enright made a motion to set a public hearing date for Wednesday May 27, 2026 at 5:50 pm, seconded by K. Sweet. Voice vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
