Chair Hart shared the proposal developed by the Art in Public Places Subcommittee in

from the 2013/14 and subsequent exhibitions in front of City Hall for the year following
selection. After one year, the new People's Choice winner will be installed there, and the
former selection moved to a permanent location in the community. They recommend this
rotation for a period of 10 years, after which time the 1 percent for art project associated
with the construction of the building be revisited. The funds Council identified to purchase
a second sculpture would be used for construction of a pedestal on the northwest corner of
the City Hall block. Commissioners were supportive of the proposal. Chair Hart will attend

Committee before making a formal presentation to Council.
