CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. 1.A ROLL CALL Present: 8 - Chair Marygrace Jennings, Vice Chair Stacy Hicks, Commissioner Susan Aurand, Commissioner Britta Echtle, Commissioner Diana Fairbanks, Commissioner Kathy Murray, Commissioner Katie Nelson, and Commissioner Rick Perry Absent: 1 - Commissioner Ron Hinton 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Chair Jennings called for changes to the agenda. Hearing none, the agenda was approved. 3. OTHER TOPICS 3.A 15-0673 Municipal Art Plan Presentation, Gateways Master Plan Discussion Chair Jennings shared her presentation for General Government Committee, and initiated conversation about the Gateways Master Plan. The discussion was completed. 3.B 15-0674 Arts-Themed Activity Commissioners participated in "speed dating" conversation about arts in their lives and in the community. Some of the ideas expressed will be held and considered for the 2016 Arts Commission Work Plan. The activity was completed. 3.C 15-0675 Dinner - Speaker TBA Commissioners shared a potluck dinner - a speaker was not present. The dinner was held. City of Olympia Page 1 Arts Commission Meeting Minutes May 21, 2015 3.D 15-0676 Committee Discussion Commissioner Hinton has agreed to be the Chair for Community Events & Outreach Committee, Commissioner Fairbanks for Art in Public Places Committee through this workplan cycle. The discussion was completed. 3.E 15-0677 Action Plan Response Commissioners identified items on the draft Action Plan where they would like to be a partner. Ms. Johnson will communicate that interest to Ms. Stacey Ray, Community Planning and Development, who is heading the Action Plan efforts. The discussion was completed. 4.
