1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Dorgan called the meeting to order at 5:46 p.m.

24-0492 Arts Commissioner Meet and Greet
Commissioners and staff shared more about their backgrounds and what brought them
to the Arts Commission.

24-0491 ARCH in Olympia Overview
Ms.Johnson shared an overview of the City's efforts in Arts, Cultures and Heritage
(ARCH), and provided an overview of the three once-in-a-generation projects currently
happening under that umbrella: Creative District, Cultural Access, and the Armory project.
She directed Commissioners to the Work Plan and Municipal Art Plan as the framework
for their service on the Arts Commission.

24-0493 Armory Update
Attachments: Olympia Creative Campus Concept Plan 2022
Armory Building Manager Valerie Roberts provided a tour of the Armory for
Commissioners, including identified locations for community rentals and long-terms
leases for Armory Partners. Potential locations for future public art projects were also
identified.
The discussion was completed.
7. REPORTS
Ms. Johnson shared that "Triumph of the Vegetables" by Nick Lyle and Jean
Whitesavage as well as "The Hollow," by Nikki McClure were in the process of being
repainted and should be complete by the end of the week.
