1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Dorgan called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.

The agenda was approved.

24-0580 Approval of June 13, 2024 Arts Commission Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Commissioners shared information about past and upcoming arts events.
6. BUSINESS ITEMS
24-0581 Creative District Update
Economic Development Senior Program Specialist Daisha Versaw was unable to attend
and give an update on the Creative District, but provided a link to a similar presentation
given to the Community Livability and Public Safety Committee. Commissioners shared
responses and asked about the boundaries of the district, and potential for change.

The discussion was completed.
24-0582 Arts Commission Meeting Planning
Commissioners discussed thoughts and concerns about returning to in-person meetings,
as well as consideration of changing the start times. The Chair and Vice-Chair will review
discussion and return with a proposal to the August meeting.
The discussion was continued to the August 8, 2024 Arts Commission
meeting.
7. REPORTS
Ms. Johnson reminded Commissioners about the Percival Plinth Celebration on
Saturday, July 13, 5:00-7:00 p.m., and noted the construction contractor for Grass Lake
Nature Park was just approved by City Council, moving the project forward.
