CALL TO ORDER Chair Gilman called the meeting to order at 6:20 p.m. Present: 8 - Chair Clark Gilman, Committee Member David Coppley, Committee Member Joe Ford, Committee Member Kris Fransen, Committee Member Christina Lock, Committee Member Scott Morgan, Committee Member Aaron Pritchard, and Committee Member Brittany Yunker Excused: 1 - Committee Member Greg Wahl OTHERS PRESENT Councilmember Julie Hankins Larry Leveen, Olympia Safe Streets Campaign City Staff: Michelle Swanson, Senior Program Specialist, Public Works Transportation Sophie Stimson, Senior Planner, Public Works Transportation Mark Russell, Director of Transportation, Public Works Steve Friddle, Principal Planner, Community Planning & Development (CP&D) Rob Bradley, Fire Marshal and former Interim Building Official, Olympia Fire Department 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was unanimously approved. 3. PUBLIC COMMENT - None 4. ANNOUNCEMENTS Ms. Swanson made several announcements. 5. BUSINESS ITEMS 5a. 14-1125 Recording Committee Discussions Committee Member Morgan moved, seconded by Committee Member City of Olympia Page 1 Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Meeting Minutes November 19, 2014 Committee Pritchard, to record discussions as action items. The motion passed unanimously. 5b. 14-1126 Chair and Vice Chair Elections Chair Gilman was relected for another term, and Aaron Pritchard was elected as Vice Chair. 5c 14-1127 Update from Staff on Bike Corridors Ms. Swanson will present the Committee with options for a bike corridors pilot project in January 2015. The report was received. 5d. 14-1128 Draft Response to Council on Downtown Sidewalk Skateboarding & Bicycling Referral The Committee reviewed the draft memo and approved the memorandum with edits. Ms. Swanson will transmit the memo to Council. The discussion was completed. 5e. 14-1129 Report from Community Planning & Development on Enforcement of Code Requirements for Bicycle Parking on New Construction Mr. Friddle and Mr. Bradley updated the Committee on the City's progress on enforcing bicycle parking standards with new development. The report was received. 6. HOUSEKEEPING 6a. 14-1130 Housekeeping: Quick Reference Work Plan Ms. Swanson noted the next meeting is January 28, 2015. Agenda items will include Bike Corridors, Fairview Avenue Pathway and BPAC's 2015-2016 Work Plan. The information was provided. 7.
