CALL TO ORDER Chair Gilman called the meeting to order at 6:17 p.m. 1.A ROLL CALL Present: 7 - Chair Clark Gilman, Committee member Joe Ford, Committee member Kris Fransen, Committee member Christina Lock, Committee member Scott Morgan, Committee member Greg Wahl, and Committee member Brittany Yunker Excused: 2 - Vice Chair Aaron Pritchard, and Committee member David Coppley OTHERS PRESENT Councilmember Julie Hankins Brad O'Brien, Member, SWONA Scott Shaw, Walnut Park Neighborhood Association Gail Gosney-Wrede, Walnut Park Neighborhood Association Jim Rainwood, Woodland Trail Greenway Association City Staff: Mark Russell, Director, Public Works Transportation Michelle Swanson, Senior Program Specialist, Public Works Transportation Sophie Stimson, Senior Planner, Public Works Transportation Heather Reed, Program Assistant, Public Works Transportation 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was unanimously approved. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3.A. 15-0643 Approval of April 22, 2015 Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes. The minutes were approved. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT Brad O'Brien, SWONA member, spoke to BPAC about the disappearing bike lane on City of Olympia Page 1 Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Meeting Minutes June 24, 2015 Committee Cooper Point approaching Caton Way. He also provided an update on the Decatur Pathway Project. 5. ANNOUNCEMENTS Committee members Fransen, Yunker and BPAC Staff Liaison Michelle Swanson made announcements. 5.A. 15-0646 Correspondence from Peter Guttchen addressed to BPAC The information was received. 6. BUSINESS ITEMS 6.A. 15-0644 2015 Neighborhood Pathways Preliminary Applications Review The committee discussed five preliminary Neighborhood Pathways applications and reviewed staff recommendations to request full proposals for 2015-2016 projects. Scott Shaw, representative for the Walnut Park Neighborhood Association, spoke about the group's application for a Walnut-Langridge-Fox Run Pathway. Jim Rainwood, representative for the Woodland Trail Greenway Association, spoke about the Wildwood to Indian Creek and Olympia Woodland Trail application. After further discussion, Mr. Rainwood withdrew their application and advised the committee that the group will do further research and submit an application next year. Committee Member Joe Ford moved that BPAC request full proposals from the Northeast Neighborhood Association (NENA) for the Puget Street Pathway between Jasper and Miller Avenues and from the Woodland Trail Greenway Association for the Chehalis Western Trail to Ensign Road Connection. Committee Member Christina Lock seconded the motion. Michelle Swanson, Staff Liaison, will notify applicants and request full proposals for the projects. The recommendation was completed. 7.
