Chair Lock called the meeting to order at 6:17 p.m.

6.A 16-0356 Olympia Woodland Trail Safety Report Follow-up
Mr. Hoey briefed the Committee on City efforts to increase safety on the trail such as
additional patrols, resources for the homeless population and a WSDOT project to

clear up sight lines from Boulevard to Pacific.
The report was received.
6.B 16-0357 Briefing on Olympia’s Downtown Strategy
Ms. Buckler provided a brief overview of the Downtown Strategy with a focus on
transportation elements. She shared the role for advisory boards and encouraged
Committee members to attend the May 23 Design Update Workshop.
The report was received.
6.C 16-0364 Bike Corridor Pilot Project Outreach Plan
Ms. Swanson updated the Committee on the Bike Corridor pilot project construction
timeline, outreach strategies and a tentative schedule. BPAC members discussed the
project and volunteered for an upcoming Open House, neighborhood meetings and a
kick-off event.
The discussion was completed.
6.D 16-0355 2016 Work Plan
Chair Lock moved, seconded by Vice Chair Coppley, to remove Item 1.b.,
League of American Bicyclists Gold City Status Review, from BPAC's draft
2016 work plan. The motion passed unanimously.
7. HOUSEKEEPING
7.A 16-0354 Housekeeping: Quick Reference Work Plan
The report was received.
8. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
