NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION 1A. 16-0650 New Member Orientation Chair Lock and City staff members Michelle Swanson and Sophie Stimson oriented new committee members Rebecca Brown and Barbara Bumann to the BPAC. The orientation was completed. CALL TO ORDER and ROLL CALL Chair Lock called the meeting to order at 6:18 p.m. Present: 7 - Chair Christina Lock, Vice Chair David Coppley, Committee member Rebecca Brown, Committee member Barb Bumann, Committee member Joe Ford, Committee member Scott Morgan and Committee member Brittany Yunker Excused: 1 - Committee member Kris Fransen Others present: Mayor Pro Tem Nathaniel Jones Mark Russell, Director of Transportation, Public Works Transportation Sophie Stimson, Senior Planner, Public Works Transportation Michelle Swanson, Senior Program Specialist, Public Works Transportation Heather Reed, Program Assistant, Public Works Transportation 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 4A. 16-0550 Approval of March 16, 2016 Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes The minutes were approved. ANNOUNCEMENTS Committee members Yunker and Ford, Vice Chair Coppley, and Ms. Swanson made announcements. 7. BUSINESS ITEMS 7A. 16-0651 Report on the Complete Streets Funding Study Ms. Stimson updated the Committee on the first phase of the Complete Streets Funding Study. The report was received. 7B. 16-0652 Report on Capital Facilities Plan Ms. Stimson briefed the Committee on the annual Capital Facilities Plan (CFP) and process. Vice Chair Coppley moved, seconded by Committee member Brown, to consider the CFP as a full committee instead of forming a subcommittee to review it and share recommendations with the full committee. The motion carried by unanimous vote. Excused: 1 - Committee member Fransen 7C. 16-0654 Report on Bike Corridor Pilot Project Ms. Swanson updated the Committee on the Bike Corridor pilot project. The report was received. 8. HOUSEKEEPING 8A. 16-0552 Housekeeping: Quick Reference Work Plan The report was received. 9. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m. City of Olympia Page 2
