CALL TO ORDER Chair Lock called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. 1.A ROLL CALL Present: 7 - Chair Christina Lock, Vice Chair David Coppley, Committee member Rebecca Brown, Committee member Barb Bumann, Committee member Kris Fransen, Committee member Scott Morgan and Committee member Jan Vleck Excused: 2 - Committee member Joe Ford and Committee member Brittany Yunker Carlson Others present: Sophie Stimson, Senior Planner, Public Works Transportation Michelle Swanson, Senior Program Specialist, Public Works Transportation Heather Reed, Program Assistant, Public Works Transportation 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3A. 16-0811 Approval of May 18, 2016 Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes The minutes were approved. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT Olympia resident Brad O'Brien spoke about the preliminary 2017 Capital Facilities Plan. 5. ANNOUNCEMENTS Vice Chair Coppley, Chair Lock, and Ms.Swanson made announcements. 6. BUSINESS ITEMS City of Olympia Page 1 Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Meeting Minutes July 20, 2016 Committee 6A. 16-0812 Report on Bike Corridors Ms. Swanson briefed the Committee. The report was received. 6B. 16-0814 Report on the Downtown Strategy Ms. Stimson briefed the Committee. The report was received. 6C. 16-0813 Approval of Method for Reviewing Preliminary 2017- 2022 Capital Facilities Plan Chair Lock moved, seconded by Committee member Vleck, to form a subcommittee consisting of Committee members Brown, Vleck, Bumann, and Vice Chair Coppley to draft a letter on the Capital Facilities Plan (CFP). The motion passed unanimously. Committee member Vleck moved, seconded by Committee member Bumann, to appoint Vice Chair Coppley as Chair of the CFP Committee. The motion passed unanimously. 6D. 16-0815 Report on Complete Streets Ordinance Ms. Stimson briefed the Committee. The report was received. 7. HOUSEKEEPING 7A. 16-0816 Housekeeping: Quick Reference Work Plan The report was received. 8. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. City of Olympia Page 2
