ROLL CALL Present: 7 - Mayor Cheryl Selby, Mayor Pro Tem Jessica Bateman, Councilmember Jim Cooper, Councilmember Clark Gilman, Councilmember Dani Madrone, Councilmember Lisa Parshley and Councilmember Renata Rollins 2. BUSINESS ITEM 2.A 20-0645 2020 Mid-Year Retreat Facilitator Nancy Campbell reviewed the principles and operating norms for how Councilmembers want to work together and reaffirmed as guidance for how they interact with each other, staff and citizens. Ms. Campbell went over the ground rules for the day and the concept of generative relationships and co-creation. Councilmembers discussed what they believe are some of the community concerns and what the City should do about such concerns related to racial equity. A draft proposed statement regarding racial equity was reviewed. Members agreed that a statement is needed. It was agreed that Councilmembers would provide feedback regarding the draft to City Manager Jay Burney by the next Tuesday. A revised draft then would be submitted to the Council for action.
