Update
Public Works Transportation Senior Planner, Michelle Swanson, AICP presented the
Olympia 2045 - Transportation Chapter of the comprehensive plan update.
The Council discussed and asked clarifying questions.
The study session was completed.
2.B 25-0595 Reconsideration of the Public Safety Chapter of the Comprehensive Plan
Periodic Update
Olympia Fire Chief Matt Morris, Olympia Interim Police Chief Shelby Parker, and
Community Planning and Economic Development Associate Planner Casey Schaufler
presented an update of the Public Safety comprehensive plan for reconsideration.
The Council discussed and asked clarifying questions.
The study session was completed.
2.C 25-0632 Rent Stabilization Legislation & Existing Rental Housing Code Briefing
Community Planning and Economic Development Senior Housing Program Specialist
Christa Lenssen briefed the Council on rent stabilization legislation and existing rental
housing code.

The Council discussed and asked clarifying questions. The Council asked that this topic
go back to the Land Use Executive Committee for additional review and revision to have
a recommendation brought back to the Council at a future meeting.
The study session was completed.
