APPROVAL OF MINUTES 2.A 13-0845 Approval of September 17, 2013 Civil Service Commission Meeting Minutes Commissioner Soule moved, seconded by Commissioner Callner, to approve the minutes. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 2 - Commissioner Callner and Commissioner Soule Excused: 1 - Chair Villegas Bremer 3. BUSINESS ITEMS 3.A 13-0843 Appeal of Removal from Entry Level Police Register This agenda item was postponed because Sgt. Black was not able to attend the meeting to provide background information regarding the appeal. The appellant was advised of the postponement. A special meeting was scheduled for October 29, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. to review the appeal process protocol, and the actual appeal was scheduled for November 15, 2013. The decision was postponed. 3.B 13-0844 Approval of Entry Level Police Register City of Olympia Page 1 Civil Service Commission Meeting Minutes October 15, 2013 Ms. Cleveland gave background information regarding the entry level police officer recruitment. Currently, there are six police officer vacancies in the department and four more vacancies in the near future for a total of ten vacancies to fill. Five candidates were placed on the register and ranked according to their scores. Commissioner Callner moved, seconded by Commissioner Soule, to approve the minutes.
