APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3.A 21-0401 Approval of February 16, 2021 Civil Service Commission Meeting Minutes The minutes were postponed and referred to the May meeting. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT - NONE 5. BUSINESS ITEMS 6.A 21-0402 Approval of Promotional Fire Lieutenant Register City of Olympia Page 1 Civil Service Commission Meeting Minutes April 20, 2021 Ms. Camus explained that the testing process included a candidate orientation, assessor preparation, written exam, work performance rating, tactical, and assessment center. Assessment center exercises included communication and expectations, practical scenarios/critical thinking, and employee coaching scenarios. The exam was completed over three days and measured eight dimensions of the fire lieutenant position, which were selected based on a task analysis and survey of incumbents and fire department leadership. Five candidates passed all components of the exam and have been placed on the register in accordance with their scores. Final ranking scores range from 81.01 - 92.00. Chair Villegas Bremer moved, seconded by Commissioner Soule, to approve the Fire Lieutenant Promotional Register. The motion carried as follows: Aye: 2 - Chair Villegas Bremer and Commissioner Soule Excused: 1 - Commissioner Callner 7. REPORTS - NONE 8. OTHER TOPICS - NONE 9.
