CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. 1.A ROLL CALL Present: 3 - Chair Linda Villegas Bremer, Commissioner Reiko Callner and Commissioner Oscar Soule OTHERS PRESENT Senior Human Resources Analyst Nicole Camus Olympia Police Sergeant Jason Winner 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3.A 21-1025 Approval of October 19, 2021 Civil Service Commission Meeting Minutes The minutes were approved. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None 5. ANNOUNCEMENTS - None 6. BUSINESS ITEMS 6.A 21-1119 Approval of Entry Level Police Officer Register Ms. Camus reported the Olympia Police Department (OPD) reached out to 31 people to go through testing via PST. One candidate, however, was very quick in completing the testing processes and oral board was conducted. Panel members on the Board were OPD Officer Brooklyn McKoon, OPD Sergeant Al Weinnig, and Community City of Olympia Page 1 Civil Service Commission Meeting Minutes November 16, 2021 Member/Realtor Madison Sola del Vigo. The candidate received a score of 90.13. Commissioner Callner moved, seconded by Commissioner Soule, to approve the certification of the Entry Level Police Officer Register effective October 19, 2021. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3 - Chair Villegas Bremer, Commissioner Callner and Commissioner Soule 6.B 21-1121 Removal of Names from Entry Level Police Officer Register The decision was approved. 7. REPORTS 7.A 21-1122 Vaccination Policy Ms. Camus discussed the City Manager’s mandate regarding vaccinations for new hires. New hire employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical or religious exemption. This language is being added to all City classifications. Conditions in the Civil Service Commission already allows for this mandate to be made. This is effective following today’s meeting for Civil Service employees. The report was received. 8.
