CALL TO ORDER Chair LaValle called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. 2. ANNOUNCEMENTS - None 4. BUSINESS ITEMS 4.A 22-0007 Award of Merit Presentation ‘Dry-Run’ Boardmember Cassel gave a draft presentation she will be repeating at the January 18, 2022 City Council meeting. The Design Review Board is recommending three CPD project applicants/teams receive awards of merit for outstanding urban and architectural design. Boardmembers and staff provided feedback for the upcoming formal presentation. The report was received. 4.B 22-0008 Bluebeam Revu Technical Demonstration Principal Planner Nicole Floyd explained how a free desktop version of the Bluebeam Revu pdf markup software/tool can be downloaded and installed on personal computers. Boardmembers learned how the ‘measurement’ tool group is used, and how to compare City of Olympia Page 1 Design Review Board Meeting Minutes January 8, 2022 documents using the multiple screen tool. Architects, engineers, urban designers, and others in development, including Olympia CPD staff use the tool to review design project plans and documents. Boardmembers will have the option of using the tool at home for project review. The report was received. 4.C 22-0009 Arts, Culture & Heritage (ARCH), and Encouraging Rehabilitation and Adaptive Reuse of Buildings Historic Preservation Officer Marygrace Goddu gave a presentation on the City’s Arts, Culture and Heritage (ArCH) program. She described a few of the initiatives underway with the Downtown Creative District, the City’s acquisition of the Armory building and envisioned use, and many other goals and objectives of the program.
