1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Garner Miller called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: 4 - Vice Chair Holly Davies, Commissioner Benjamin Helle,
Commissioner Garner Miller and Commissioner Sheila Swalling
2.A OTHERS PRESENT
Historic Preservation Officer Marygrace Goddu
Building Owners: Sam Meyer (208 18th Ave SW) and Andy Meyer (215 19th Ave SW)
3. BUSINESS ITEMS
3.A 19-0945 SPECIAL PROPERTY TAX VALUATION: 208 18th Ave SW
Ms. Goddu summarized findings of eligibility review and the local historic designation
and assessed value of the structure prior to rehabilitation. The owner described the work
that was done and the Commissioners asked questions about the costs and standards
for rehabilitation.
Commissioner Helle moved, seconded by Commissioner Swalling. to approve
the Special Property Tax Valuation application for rehabilitation of the
property at 208 18th Ave SW, pending exclusion of the cost for vinyl
replacement windows from the qualified rehabilitation expenditures and will
recommend approval to the full Heritage Commission. The motion passed
unanimously.
3.B 19-0950 SPECIAL PROPERTY TAX VALUATION: 215 19th Ave SW
Ms. Goddu read the owner's statement of work completed and summarized the findings
of eligibility review and the local historic designation and assessed value of the structure
prior to rehabilitation.
Commissioner Miller moved, seconded by Commissioner Swalling, to approve
the Special Tax Valuation application for rehabilitation of the property and will

recommend approval to the full Heritage Commission. The motion passed
unanimously.
4. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 12:30 p.m.
