1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Davies called the meeting to order at 6:13 p.m.

The minutes were approved.

5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Staff shared announcements regarding economic recovery efforts for Downtown and
recent Olympia Historical Society doings.

6. REPORTS
6.A Heritage Review Committee
Commissioner Miller reported on Heritage Review Committee recommendation relative
to 108 20th Avenue. Staff provided an update regarding the Building Official’s decision
not to accept HRC recommendation. Memorandum to HRC from the BO is forthcoming,
and BO is willing to meet with HRC to further discuss.
Additional discussion concerned the legal basis for local review on National Register
listings and districts as if they were locally registered. Staff will contact DAHP for
guidance and bring that information to the Policy, Ordinance and Guidance Committee.
6.B Survey and Designation Committee - No report
6.C Policy, Ordinance and Guidance Committee
Commissioners Davies and House reported POG has not met. Initial review of housing
code amendments has been done and the Committee plans to meet to discuss further
with City staff.
6.D Marketing, Outreach and Events Committee
Commissioners Rohrer and House agreed to convene a meeting in July.
7. OTHER TOPICS - None
