CALL TO ORDER Chair Hankins called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL Present: 3 - Chair Julie Hankins, Committee member Clark Gilman and Committee member Nathaniel Jones OTHERS PRESENT Community Planning and Development staff: Director Keith Stahley Associate Line of Business Director Karen Kenneson Senior Planner Joyce Phillips 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The Committee agreed to move Business Item 5.B before Item 5.A. The agenda was approved as amended. 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 4.A 17-1032 Approval of September 21, 2017 Land Use & Environment Committee Meeting Minutes The minutes were approved. 5. COMMITTEE BUSINESS 5.A 17-1009 Parking Strategy Status Report Ms. Kenneson provided an update on the Parking Strategy via a PowerPoint presentation. A copy of the presentation can be found in the meeting details on the City’s website. The Committee indicated unanimous support of Phase I of the Parking Strategy. 5.B 17-1017 Discussion of Neighborhood Centers with Planning Commission City of Olympia Page 1 Land Use & Environment Committee Meeting Minutes October 12, 2017 Leadership Ms. Phillips presented information on neighborhood centers via a PowerPoint presentation. A copy of the presentation can be found in the meeting details on the City’s website. The Committee, Commissioners, and staff discussed neighborhood center provisions in the Comprehensive Plan. The discussion was completed. 6. REPORTS AND UPDATES Mr. Stahley informed the Committee of the two remaining meetings for 2017 and business items that will be on the agendas. 7.
