Chair Madrone called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.

6.A 24-0339 Proposed Changes to the Parking Program Briefing

Ms. Baker van Drood provided an update on proposed changes to the parking program
that includes expanded hours of enforcement, converting more meters to a three-hour
limit, improving the use of off-street parking, improving way-finding signage, increasing
the use of mobile payment options, and adjusting prices to achieve an 85% occupancy
rate. Committee members provided feedback and direction on community engagement
with downtown residents and business owners.
The discussion was completed.
6.B 24-0343 Neighborhood Centers Update
Mr. Schaufler provided an update on the Neighborhood Centers report and its findings
and recommendations. Next steps of public engagement were also covered. Committee
members provided direction on follow-up work with the Comprehensive Plan update to
incorporate goals that support neighborhood centers with simplified and flexible zoning.
The discussion was completed.
7. REPORTS AND UPDATES
Committee members discussed timing for addressing code changes for drive-through
uses City-wide and agreed to raise the issue during the development of the 2025 LUEC
work program.
8. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 6:12 p.m.
