ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Boardmember Jessica Bateman, Boardmember Clark Gilman, Boardmember Lisa Parshley, Boardmember Renata Rollins, and Boardmember Cheryl Selby Excused: 2 - President Jim Cooper, and Boardmember Nathaniel Jones 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. 3. PUBLIC COMMENT - None 4. BOARD BUSINESS 4.A 18-0298 Approval of November 21, 2017 Olympia Metropolitan Park District Board Meeting Minutes The minutes were approved. 4.B 18-0250 Election of Olympia Metropolitan Park District (OMPD) Officers Boardmember Parshley nominated President Cooper to continue as President of the Board and nominated herself for Vice President. Boardmember Parshley moved, seconded by Boardmember Bateman, to approve President Cooper as President and Boardmember Parshley as Vice President in 2018. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5 - Boardmember Bateman, Boardmember Gilman, Boardmember Parshley, Boardmember Rollins and Boardmember Selby Excused: 2 - President Cooper and Boardmember Jones 4.C 18-0251 Approval of Revised 2018 Olympia Metropolitan Park District (OMPD) Meeting Schedule Resolution Parks, Arts & Recreation Associate Director Jonathon Turlove noted this year's meeting schedule has been revised to align with Council meetings. Boardmember Bateman moved, seconded by Boardmember Parshley, to City of Olympia Page 1 Metropolitan Park District Board Meeting Minutes March 27, 2018 approve the revised 2018 OMPD meeting schedule resolution. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5 - Boardmember Bateman, Boardmember Gilman, Boardmember Parshley, Boardmember Rollins and Boardmember Selby Excused: 2 - President Cooper and Boardmember Jones 4.D 18-0260 Approval of 2018 Olympia Metropolitan Park District (OMPD) Advisory Committee Work Plan Mr. Turlove provided highlights of the draft OMPD Advisory Committee's work plan for 2018. Boardmember Gilman moved, seconded by Boardmember Bateman, to amend the work plan to include items 4.2 and 4.3, the voted utility tax and non-utility tax, so the OMPD Advisory Committee has a more complete picture of revenues coming in as they're making evaluations and recommendations to the Board. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5 - Boardmember Bateman, Boardmember Gilman, Boardmember Parshley, Boardmember Rollins and Boardmember Selby Excused: 2 - President Cooper and Boardmember Jones 5.
