The meeting was called to order at 6:04 p.m.

2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
3.A 16-0066 Approval of December 17, 2015 Parks and Recreation Advisory
Committee Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT
James Reddick, PARC Foundation, gave an update on upcoming events sponsored
by the Foundation. Three grants from the Nisqually Tribe were received.

6. BUSINESS ITEMS
6.A 16-0064 Recommendation on Draft 2016 Parks, Arts and Recreation Plan
The Committee will recommend to City Council to approve the 2016 Parks,
Arts and Recreation Plan.

6.B 16-0065 PRAC 2016-2017 Workplan
Associate Planner Jonathon Turlove reviewed the draft 2016 Work Plan, which will be
approved by the General Government Committee in early March. The Committee
added a new item "Urban Forestry" to the Work Plan and requested that David Hanna
give an update at an upcoming meeting. PRAC decided to keep Item 2.1 Informal
Meeting with Department and City Leadership and 2.2 Annual Park Evaluation
Program on the Work Plan.
The discussion was completed.
6.C 16-0095 Thurston County Conservation Futures Grant
PRAC will write a support letter to be included with the Thurston County Conservation
Futures grant application for the purchase of the Trillium property (parcel on
Morse-Merryman).
The discussion was completed.
7. REPORTS
A. North Capitol Campus Heritage Park Development Assoc. - None
B. PARC Foundation of Thurston County - None.
C. Artesian Leadership Committee. Last meeting was a discussion about what has
worked well and what still needs to be done. Looking at grants and additional funding
for a seasonal ranger and well host.
