CALL TO ORDER Vice Chair David called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. 1.A ROLL CALL Present: 7 - Chair Jacob David, Vice Chair Alden Davis, Boardmember Janis Dean, Boardmember Anne Gavzer, Boardmember Sophia Landis, Boardmember Monique Ossa and Boardmember Kyle Radanovic Excused: 2 - Boardmember Melissa Hammond and Boardmember Shannon Tiegs 1.B OTHERS PRESENT Economic Development Director Mike Reid 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3.A 24-0019 Approval of December 6, 2023 PBIA Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes The minutes were approved. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None 5. ANNOUNCEMENTS Mr. Reid informed the Board of staff changes. Feedback received from the holiday season was positive. 6. BUSINESS ITEMS 6.A 24-0026 Election of 2024 Officers City of Olympia Page 1 PBIA Advisory Board Meeting Minutes January 3, 2024 Mr. Reid led discussions for the Election of 2024 Officers. Boardmember Dean moved, seconded by Boardmember Landis, to nominate Vice Chair David as Chair of the PBIA for 2024. The motion passed unanimously. The Board unanimously appointed Boardmember Davis as Vice Chair. 6.B 24-0024 Board Appointments Mr. Reid led discussions regarding the appointment of Boardmembers. Boardmember Radanovic moved, seconded by Boardmember Dean, to appoint Anne Gavzer and Sophia Landis to vacant terms ending December 31, 2025. The motion passed unanimously. 6.C 24-0025 Formation of a Nomination Committee for Upcoming Elections Vice Chair David led discussions regarding the formation of a nomination committee for upcoming elections. Boardmembers Davis, Ossa and Gavzer expressed interest in serving. A Nomination Committee was formed. 6.D 24-0027 2024 Board Retreat Agenda Boardmembers discussed scheduling the upcoming Board Retreat and potential agenda topics. The discussion was completed. 6.E 24-0023 Update on Firehouse Request for Proposals Mr. Reid presented an update on Firehouse Request for proposals. The information was received. 7. REPORTS - None 8.
