CALL TO ORDER Vice Chair Auderer called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. 1.A ROLL CALL Commissioner Burns arrived after roll call was taken. Present: 6 - Vice Chair Mike Auderer, Commissioner Travis Burns, Commissioner Paula Ehlers, Commissioner Negheen Kamkar, Commissioner Missy Watts and Commissioner Darrell Hoppe Excused: 3 - Chair Brian Mark, Commissioner Carole Richmond and Commissioner Rad Cunningham 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3.A 17-0448 Approval of the April 17, 2017 Olympia Planning Commission Meeting Minutes The minutes were approved. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None 5. STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS Ms. Phillips announced the following: · Capital Facilities Plan (CFP) Subcommittee will begin reviewing the proposed 2018-2023 draft CFP. · New downtown mural mapping in now available and can be viewed at olympiawa.gov/murals. · There may not be a May 15, 2017 meeting of the Planning Commission. · Please try to make the June 5, 2017 meeting as a public hearing will be held. · May 11, 2017 - Design Review Board will be reviewing Annie’s Artist Flats - construction of a new building with three floors of studio and one-bedroom apartments (48 units) over one floor of retail space, lobby, and vehicular parking. Associated improvements include solid waste facilities, bike parking, City of Olympia Page 1 Planning Commission Meeting Minutes May 1, 2017 and landscaping. · At the last Planning Commission meeting there were some questions that Senior Planner Stacey Ray wanted to supply more information about the Action Plan. Ms. Phillips handed out the additional information to the Planning Commission via written document. 6. BUSINESS ITEMS 6.A 17-0447 Update on Sea Level Rise Planning Water Resources Director Andy Haub presented an update on sea level rise planning via a PowerPoint presentation. The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m. (during Mr. Haub’s presentation) due to an emergency closure of City Hall. The information was postponed and referred to the May 15, 2017 Planning Commission meeting. 7. REPORTS This item was not discussed due to emergency adjournment. 8. OTHER TOPICS This item was not discussed due to emergency adjournment. 9. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m. due to an emergency closure of City Hall. City of Olympia Page 2
