Co-Chair Bassalé called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.

3.A 22-0710 Approval of June 27, 2022 Social Justice & Equity Commission Meeting
Minutes
Line item 6.C amended: Approval of Co-Chairs up to and including the retreat.
The minutes were approved as amended.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
September 10, 2022 has been chosen as the retreat date for the Commission. The
August Commission meeting is cancelled since the special meeting has been added.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Coordinator Keli Drake was introduced to the
Commission.

6.A 22-0714 Discussion of Draft 2022 Commission Workplan Items

Commissioners and the Staff Liaison discussed the drafting and timeline of the
2022-2023 work plan and the DEI budget. They will finalize the work plan at their retreat
on September 10, 2022.
The discussion was completed.

The discussion was completed.
