1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 6:03 p.m.

Present: 6 - Co-Chair Genevieve Chan, Commissioner Rachelle Martin,
Commissioner Kevin Mattison, Commissioner Fauziya Mohamedali,
Commissioner Marianne Ozmun-Wells and Commissioner Robin
Rosen-Evans
Excused: 4 - Co-Chair Parfait Bassalé, Commissioner Mark Hodgson,
Commissioner Wesley Nguyen and Commissioner Larry Watkinson

The agenda was approved.

The minutes were approved.

6.A 24-0175 Experiences of Discrimination in Olympia Report
Consultants from Truclusion presented an overview on the Experiences of
Discrimination in Olympia Report. Commissioners participated in small group
discussions and asked clarifying questions.
The discussion was completed.
6.B 24-0174 Update on the Community Oversight of Law Enforcement Process

Commission
Strategic Planning & Performance Manager Stacey Ray provided Commissioners with
an update on the Community Oversight of Law Enforcement Process. Commissioners
provided feedback on the Draft Recommendation Survey.
The discussion was completed.
6.C 24-0176 Social Justice and Equity Commission 2024-25 Work Plan Approval
Commissioner Rosen-Evans moved, seconded by Commissioner
Ozmun-Wells, to recommend approval of the Social Justice and Equity
Commission draft work plan. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 6 - Co-Chair Chan, Commissioner Martin, Commissioner Mattison,
Commissioner Mohamedali, Commissioner Ozmun-Wells and
Commissioner Rosen-Evans
Excused: 4 - Co-Chair Bassalé, Commissioner Hodgson, Commissioner Nguyen
and Commissioner Watkinson
7. REPORTS
Commissioner Nguyen is not seeking reappointment and Commissioner Nuñez has
stepped down from the Social Justice and Equity Commission.
8. OTHER TOPICS - None
9. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
