1. CALL TO ORDER (5:40 pm)
Vice Chair Buffo called the meeting to order.

18-0790 Approval of June 7, 2018 UAC Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT (5:45 - 5:50 PM)
Lon Freeman spoke about the City's Lifeline customer assistance program.
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM UAC AND STAFF (5:50 - 6:00 pm)
Mr. Christensen provided updates on drinking water projects and reminded UAC
members the September meeting will focus on 2019 utility rates.

18-0791 Sea Level Rise Response Planning - Update

Mr. Christensen provided a briefing on sea level rise. The information focused on the
adaptation strategies. Staff also provided UAC members with a walking tour of the
shoreline along the Percival Landing boardwalk and the Water Street sewer lift station.
UAC members asked questions of staff and thanked them for the briefing and tour.
The information was provided.
7. ADJOURNMENT
Vice Chair Buffo adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m.

the appearance of fairness in upcoming matters and to comply with Public Disclosure Law for political
campaigns, speakers will not be permitted to make public comments before the Committee in these two
areas: (1) on agenda items for which the Committee either held a Public Hearing in the last 45 days, or
will hold a Public Hearing within 45 days, or (2) where the speaker promotes or opposes a candidate for
public office or a ballot measure.
