5. ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM UAC AND STAFF
Mr. Christensen provided general updates. He noted staff scheduled a UAC meeting on
August 22 to continue budget discussions.

19-0488 Proposed 2020 Utility Budgets, Rates, and CFP
Staff presented a briefing on the City's preliminary 2020 utility finances. This included
information for the City's four utilities:
· Drinking Water
· Wastewater
· Storm and Surface Water
· Waste ReSources
Staff covered rates, general facility charges, revenues, debt service and the capital
facilities plan. Committee members asked clarifying questions and staff provided
answers.
The Committee will continue to discuss this item in August, September and October. In
the fall, the UAC will draft a letter of recommendation to the City Council for the 2020
utility budgets, rates, GFC's and the CFP.
The UAC thanked staff for the briefing.
The discussion was completed.
