Chair Buffo called the meeting to order.

20-0201 Approval of UAC February 6, 2020 Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM UAC AND STAFF (5:50 - 6:00 pm)
Mr. Christensen provided the following updates:
· The City's General Government Committee interviewed potential candidates. City
Council appointed new members Kristin Lamson, Michael Bradley and Donald
Krugg. The new Committee members will start their terms in April.
· Tonight is Committee member Dever Haffner-Ratliffe's last meeting. Staff and

UAC thanked her for her six years of service.
· The City is working to acquire a low interest emergency loan from the Public
Works Board for the Percival Creek bridge sewer line repair.
· The City is monitoring the coronavirus situation and how it affects City operations
and advisory committee meetings.
6. BUSINESS ITEMS
20-0203 Thurston Climate Mitigation Plan Project Update
Ms. Clark provided information on the regional climate mitigation plan to reduce green
house gas emissions in Thurston County.
The information was provided.
20-0202 NPDES Annual Report
Mr. Graham provided a briefing on the City’s compliance with the State’s National
Pollution Discharge and Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Phase II Stormwater
Permit. The Department of Ecology is the state agency that oversees the City of
Olympia's compliance with the permit. Olympia is a Phase II permittee (based on
population size). Staff also presented the City's Stormwater Management Program Plan
(SWMP) for the UAC's review.
The UAC was supportive of staff submitting the NPDES annual report and SWMP to the
Department of Ecology.
The information was provided.
