MEETING MINUTES 1) Call to Order. 2) Roll Call. Dan Dick, Lori Anderson, Alyssa Pillar-Kellman, Carlene Bechen; Absent - Rachel Wagabaza 3) Approval of March 2, 2023 DEI Committee meeting minutes a) Approved 4) Business (Items are for discussion and / or potential action). a) Reading to focus Committee’s attention on work. b) Report on Black History for a New Day course. i. The committee discussed how the BHFND Course is going and offered suggestions to one another for how to handle tense or uncomfortable situations. c) Review and consider approval of Nehemiah survey regarding DEI training. i. Committee reviewed Nehemiah’s survey and made edits. ii. Sent revised survey to Shawna Lutzow and Karen Reece at Nehemiah. iii. Requested Shawna and Karen join the DEI Committee at our next meeting to discuss next steps. d) Ideas on recruiting an additional committee member. i. Committee discussed options for filling the two vacant positions and agreed to wait until after the April 4 election. ii.
