MEETING MINUTES 1) Call to Order. Chair Jenna Jacobson called the Public Safety Committee meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023. 2) Roll Call. Present: Derek Below, Jenna Jacobson, & Amanda Peterson Also Present: Village Administrator Martin Shanks, Village Attorney Derek Punches (arrived at 5:03 p.m.), Village Attorney Matt Dregne (arrived 5:01 p.m.), Chief of Police Jennifer Pagenkopf, Finance Director Lisa Novinska, Village Clerk Candie Jones, and one member of the public. 3) Approval of meeting minutes. a) January 30, 2023 b) February 15, 2023 Peterson moved, seconded by Below to approve the 01-30-2023 and 02-15-2023 meeting minutes. Motion carried 3-0. 4) Business (Items are for Discussion and Possible Action). a) Cannabis ordinance and fine reductions. There was a general discussion among the members and staff. The members decided they would like to continue to pursue lowering the bond schedule related to cannabis. They requested inviting the newly elected Municipal Judge and Prosecuting Attorney to their next scheduled meeting. b) Future Agenda Items. 1) Presentation from OregonCARES regarding vape sale ordinance and community NARCAN boxes.
