Pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 19.84, notice is hereby given to the public by the Chairperson of the Public Works & Utilities
Committee, that the following meeting will be held:

Location: Village Hall; 101 Alpine Parkway Time: 5:00 PM

MEETING MINUTES
1) Call to Order
Public Works Chair Jason Mahnke called the Public Works & Utilities Committee Meeting to
order at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
2) Roll Call
Present: Jason Mahnke, and Tom Kirchdoerfer.
Absent: Carlene Bechen.
Also Present: Public Works Director Jeff Rau, Assistant Public Works Director Lauren Striegl,
Human Resources Coordinator/Deputy Clerk Peggy Haag, and Ruekert Mielke Engineer Cory
Horton.
3) Approval of May 28, 2024, Public Works & Utilities Committee meeting minutes
Kirchdoerfer moved, seconded by Mahnke, to approve the 05-28-2024 Public Works &
Utilities Committee Meeting Minutes. Motion carried 2-0.
4) Business (Items are for discussion and / or potential action)
a) Water Impact Fee – Proposed Needs Assessment and Fee Updates
Both Cory Horton, Ruekert Mielke and Assistant Public Works Director & Village Engineer
Lauren Striegl presented information for this item and referenced and reviewed Striegl’s
memo dated 07-02-2024 and reviewed a PowerPoint presentation “2024 Water Impact Fee
Update – July 2, 2024” both the memo and presentation are provided in the packet of
information.
Kirchdoerfer moved, seconded by Mahnke, to recommend to the Village Board
approval the adoption of the Water System Needs Assessment and Impact Fee Study
(May 23, 2024), and the adoption of the maximum proposed Water Impact Fee amount
of $2,169.00/REU.

5) Adjournment
Kirchdoerfer moved, seconded by Mahnke, to adjourn the Regular Public Works &
Utilities Commission Meeting at 5:42 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Motion carried 2-0.
