Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting – Public Hearing

CITY OF ORLEANS NOTICE OF PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the City of Orleans Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Orleans City Hall, 13880 253rd Avenue, Orleans, Iowa 51360. The purpose of the public hearing is for the Planning and Zoning Commission to consider proposed zoning text amendments to the City’s 2017 Zoning Ordinance and make recommendations for the potential text amendments to the City Council. Zoning text sections considered to be amended are as follows: Section 6.6. Lakeshore Yard (Front Yard) Setback Determination; Section 11.1. Site Plan Intent; Section 12.7. Tent Camping in Yards; to add a new subsection 13. Temporary Fencing to Section 12.9. Fences, Hedges, Wall, and Retaining Walls; Section 13.2. Accessory Buildings; and Section 13.6. Recreational Vehicle Parking and Uses.
