Oroville Planning Commission Wednesday, September 17, 2014 Meeting called to order at 4:35 pm by Vice-Chairman Luis Perez. Present: Commissioners Suzi Seger, Luis Perez and Alternate Commissioners Arnie Marchand and Valorie Johnston. Absent: Judy Dunston and Marc Egerton. One vacant position. Staff present: Chris Branch and Deanna Rowton. Approval of the minutes from the August 20th regular workshop. Motion by Arnie Marchand to approve the minutes as written, second by Suzi Seger; motion carried. Chris Branch announced that Valorie Johnston has been appointed to the Alternate #2 position. The Commission is currently set up to have 2 members from inside city limits (Luis Perez, position #1 and position #4 is empty) plus 2 members from outstide city limits (position #2 Suzi Seger and position #3 Marc Egerton) with 1 “at-large” position (position #5 Judy Dunston). The alternates are appointed in order to meet quorum requirements when there are absentees. Suzi asked Chris it he would be willing and able to attend a meeting of the Eastlake Water Association. He responded positively to the request. Chris reported that the Regional Transportation is a state level organization. There is a transportation map with an agreement between the County and City. Chris reported that the Comprehensive Plan map needs to be adopted at the auditors’ office and recorded to be valid. There was discussion regarding The Shoreline Master Program. The biggest difference between the current plan and the one up for adoption is regarding the 25 foot shoreline setback. It was brought up that our current Animal Ordinance is lacking in a few areas. Chris is going to bring sample ordinances from other cities for our overview and discussion so that we can make a recommendation to the council. As there being no further business, meeting adjourned at 6:30 pm. Next meeting to be held Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 at 4:30 pm. 1
