Oroville Planning Commission Tuesday, February 20, 2024 Commissioners present: Chairman Arnie Marchand, Suzi Seger, Alternate Alan Freed. Heather Marthaller and Valorie Johnston, via zoom. Staff: Kurt Danison and Cindy Boyer Chair Arnie Marchand called the meeting to order at 4:32 pm. Arnie asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes from the Planning Commission meeting on January 16th, 2024, hearing none, the minutes were approved. First on the agenda was the election of officers for the 2024 term. Alternate Alan Freed nominated Arnie Marchand to remain as Chairman and Suzi Seger seconded it, all approved, next, Heather Marthaller stated that she was not interested in being Vice Chair for the coming year and might have to resign from the board do to some health issues. No one else came forward that wanted to fill the chair and Jeff Bunnell was not present, Heather said she would still take the position for now. Suzi nominated Heather to be Vice Chair and Alan seconded it, all approved. Next on the agenda was to discuss the Zoning code, Kurt emailed a copy of it to all the members before the meeting, so everyone could look through it. The Commission will have to go over the zoning map and make sure it is up to date when Kurt gets that to everyone. Kurt started with the Chapter on Definitions in the Zoning code, he wants everyone to review them and see what needs to be updated and what doesn’t need to be in there and if there is something that needs to be added. The Zoning code has many chapters and it will keep the commission busy for the next few months going over everything and updating the maps. The meeting was adjourned at 5:07. Next meeting is March 18th, 2024
