Oroville Civil Service Monday, October 28, 2024 Meeting called to order at 4:30 pm by Chairman Joe King. Present: Commissioners Joe King, Mike Sibley, and Dusti Giroux Secretary, Chief-Examiner: Emily Finsen Others present: N/A Absent: N/A Approval of the September 23, 2024, regular meeting minutes. Motion by Dusti to approve the minutes, second by Mike, motion passed. Secretary Finsen stated that there are currently no turned in applications for the Chief Position and hopefully there will be one for review at the special meeting scheduled for Monday, November 4th at 4:30pm. Chairman King and Commissioner Giroux said they won’t be in town that afternoon. Motion to change the special meeting time to 9:00am, Monday, November 4th by Mike, second by Dusti, motion passed. Finsen suggested having a special meeting on Wednesday, November 13th at 4:15pm to approve application scores from the Chief Oral Board conducted on November 8th. Motion by Dusti to approve the special meeting, second by Mike, motion passed. There was discussion on scheduling Oral Board interviews for a lateral/entry level applicant. Finsen will publish an advertisement. Further discussion was tabled to next meeting. Next Regular Civil Service meeting to be held Monday, November 25, 2024. As there being no further business, motion by Dusti to adjourn the meeting at 4:55 pm, second by Mike; motion carried.
