Approval of Minutes - October 04, 2023 RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Ossining hereby approves the Minutes of the October 04, 2023 Regular Meeting as presented. Approval of Minutes - Special Meeting October 11, 2023 RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Ossining hereby approves the Minutes of the October 11, 2023 Special Meeting as presented. Approval of Voucher Detail - October 18, 2023 RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Ossining hereby approves the Voucher Detail Report dated October 18, 2023 in the amount of $402,844.08. VOUCH DET 101823 D. Call for a Public Hearing pursuant to Village of Ossining Code section 270-59(C)- Amendments to Chapter 270 (Zoning), Appendix A, Use Tables, Table A-1: Permitted, Conditional and Special Permit Principal Uses in Business and Mixed-Use Districts and Planned Waterfront Subdistricts. RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Ossining hereby calls for a Public Hearing to take place at 7:30 pm on November 15, 2023 at the Birdsall Fagan Police-Court Facility, 86-88 Spring Street, Ossining, New York to consider proposed Local Law -2023, titled, “A Local Law amending Chapter 270 (Zoning), Appendix A, Use tables, Table A-1: Permitted, Conditional and Special Permit Principal Uses in Business and Mixed-Use Districts and Planned Waterfront Subdistricts”; and be it further RESOLVED, that the proposed local law would amend the Use Table to permit Animal- related uses, general and Animal-related uses, intensive in the O-R (Office Research) zoning district where currently such uses are not permitted; and be it further RESOLVED, that members of the public are invited to attend the public hearing in- person at the above-referenced location; and be it further RESOLVED, that those members of the public requiring a reasonable accommodation to participate in the public hearing due to that person’s disability, shall notify the Corporation Counsel no later than seven (7) days before the public hearing at (kahan@villageofossining.org) to afford the village sufficient time to provide the reasonable accommodation; and be it further RESOLVED, that for those members of the public who want to attend/participate in the public hearing remotely, access will be available via the Zoom platform; and be it further RESOLVED, that comments regarding the proposed local law will be accepted by the Board of Trustees at BOT@villageofossining.org. Resolution Authorizing Settlement- Progressive Casualty Insurance Company a/s/o Karl on Wheels LLC WHEREAS, Karl on Wheels LLC alleges that its vehicle, a 2018 Nissan van was damaged as a result of a motor vehicle accident with a village-owned vehicle on April 3, 2023; and WHEREAS, Progressive Casualty Insurance Company, the automobile insurance company for Karl on Wheels, asserted a subrogation claim against the village for Legislative Meeting October 18, 2023 Page 2 of 3 damages to the Karl on Wheels’ vehicle; and WHEREAS, the Village’s Corporation Counsel reviewed documents submitted by the claimant and village staff and concluded that settlement of this claim was warranted; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Ossining authorizes settlement of the subrogation claim of Progressive Casualty Insurance company; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Treasurer of the Village of Ossining is hereby authorized and directed to pay to Progressive Casualty Insurance Company as subrogee of Karl on Wheels LLC $18,916.57 upon delivery to the Village of Ossining of a release signed by Progressive Casualty Insurance Company. F. Fire Department – Appointment – Washington Hook & Ladder Company #2 RESOLVED, that upon recommendation of the Fire Chief, Marco Mendez, Ossining, New York was elected as active members of Washington Hook & Ladder Company #2 for interior firefighting. Marco Mendez. G. Fire Department –Removal from Active Rolls – Washington Hook & Ladder CO. #2 RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Ossining hereby removes Juliana Fuzessery from the active rolls of the Ossining Fire Department – Washington Hook & Ladder CO. #2 Juliana Fuzessery IX.
