Airport Commission Meeting Minutes August 11, 2022 – Owatonna Degner Regional Airport “DRAFT” 1. Call to Order Chairman Lindee called the meeting of the Airport Commission to order at 5:00 PM. 2. Roll Call Attending James Keltgen Commissioner Justin Lindee Chairman Angie Lipelt Commissioner Paula Snitker Commissioner Sharon West Commissioner Dave Beaver Airport Manager Troy Klecker Community Development Director Visitors Nick Grahek Bolton and Menk 3. Approval of Agenda Commissioner West made a motion to approve the agenda and Commissioner Lipelt seconded the motion. The motion was approved. 4. Minutes Commissioner Keltgen made a motion to approve the minutes from the July 14, 2022 Airport Commission meeting and Commissioner West seconded the motion. The motion was approved. 5. Action Items Chairman Reports Chairman Lindee welcomed everyone to the meeting. Staff Reports Airport Manager Beaver reported on airport activities and presented the combined aviation fuel volumes dispensed. The combined fuel volumes are up year to date from the previous year. There was a brief discussion on activity and recent business aircraft arrivals. There was a brief discussion regarding maintenance items including work on the main hangar doors. Mr. Beaver also reported that there is now a new twin engine local business aircraft based at the airport. Mr. Beaver reminded those in attendance that the Owatonna Squadron Civil Air Patrol French Toast Breakfast is scheduled for August 28, 2022. There was a brief discussion regarding the event. T-Hangar Project Update Nick Grahek with Bolton and Menk provided a brief update on the T-hangar building and taxilane construction project. Mr. Grahek reported that Change Order No. 3 has been executed and approved by the FAA. The hangar foundation pour is complete with much of the apron and taxiway pavement work completed. This has also allowed for the accommodation of the existing T-Hangar tenants adjacent to the site. There was a brief discussion regarding schedule and Mr. Grahek explained that the hangar building materials are scheduled for delivery the week of August 28th with final completion of the project scheduled for November 4, 2022. Mr. Grahek presented Pay Estimate #2 for review. Mr. Beaver explained that this will be reviewed by staff and the engineer prior to submittal for payment. 6.
