Owatonna City Council Minutes The Owatonna City Council met Friday, November 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Council Chambers to canvass results of the City Election held on November 6, 2018 in the 2018 General Election. Council President Schultz called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone in attendance. Attending were Council Members Dotson, Schultz, Okerberg, Raney and Voss; Mayor Kuntz; City Administrator Busse and Administrative Specialist Clawson. Council Members Svenby and Burbank were not in attendance. Council Member Raney made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Council Member Okerberg seconded the motion; all members present voted aye in approval. After review of the Abstract of Votes Cast in the City’s precincts, City Administrator Busse presented Resolution 105-18 detailing results of the City Offices in 2018 General Election as: OFFICE CANDIDATE TOTAL VOTES Council Member at Large Jeffrey W. Okerberg 5,973 Kurt “Walker” Anderson 3277 Write-Ins 57 Council Member – First Ward Nathan Dotson 1,977 Write-Ins 14 Council Member – Third Ward David C. Burbank 1,224 Write-Ins 18 Council Member – Fifth Ward Brent Svenby 1,647 Write-Ins 16 and declared these candidates for office were elected at the 2018 General Election for the respective terms are as follows: Council Member - At Large 4-year term Jeffrey W. Okerberg Council Member – First Ward 4-year term Nathan Dotson Council Member – Fourth Ward 4-year term David C. Burbank Council Member – Second Ward 4-year term Brent Svenby Council Member Raney made a motion to approve Resolution 105-18, Council Member Okerberg seconded the motion; all members present voted aye for approval. At 1:04 p.m., Council Member Raney made a motion to adjourn, Council Member Dotson seconded the motion and the meeting adjourned.
