Finance Committee

PROCEEDINGS OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE The Finance Committee of the Village of Oxford, Marquette County, Wisconsin met on Thursday, February 20, 2025 in the Council Room of the Oxford Village Hall, 129 S. Franklin Avenue. The meeting was called to order by President and Committee Chair Meyer at 4:02 PM. The following Committee Members were present: Public Safety Chair Sorensen, Park & Rec Chair L. Drinkwater, and Public Works Chair Zacharias. Also in attendance were Clerk- Treasurer Maier, and Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Kongslie. Motion made by Sorensen/Zacharias to approve the agenda as printed. Motion carried. Brief discussion regarding the CD at Royal Bank which matured on February 16, 2025. Motion by Sorensen/L. Drinkwater to approve renewing the CD at Royal Bank at 3.85% for 7 months. Motion carried. A motion by L. Drinkwater/Zacharias to go into closed session under Wisconsin State Statute 19.85 (1) (C) “Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility” to discuss the Clerk-Treasurer position being split into two separate positions. Motion carried with a roll call vote and all in attendance voting “Aye”. A motion by L. Drinkwater/Zacharias to reconvene to open session under section 19.85 (2), with a roll call vote and all in attendance voting “Aye”. No motions were made regarding discussion during closed session.
