PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE OF OXFORD PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING February 7, 2024 5:00 PM Village President, Erwin Meyer, called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM in the Council Room of the Oxford Village Hall, 129 S. Franklin Ave., Oxford, WI. Planning & Zoning Commission Members Loretta Drinkwater, Gary Sorensen, Sherwin Lloyd, William Martin, and Jim White were in attendance. Also in attendance were Deputy Clerk-Treasurers Amy Maier and Kimmie Kongslie, Thomas Peckoff, and Dennis Zacharias. Motion was made by Drinkwater/Lloyd to approve the agenda as printed. Motion carried. Motion was made by Lloyd/Martin to approve the minutes of the December 19, 2023 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting as printed. Motion carried. A zoning amendment application submitted by Thomas Peckoff to change Parcel No. 6517150844055 (part of Outlot 7) from Conservation and Open Space District to R-1 (Residential) was presented and reviewed by the Commission. Thomas Peckoff addressed the Commission and inquired about potentially selling the property and the availability to build on the parcel. The zoning ordinance for Conservation and Open Space District, listing permitted principle, accessory, and conditional uses, was provided. The Commission advised that should the property be rezoned to R-1 (Residential) and an improvement was built, connection to the Village sanitary sewer system would be required. Correspondence from the Building Inspector regarding the property, indicating that a survey of the property is recommended to determine buildability, was reviewed. Motion made by White/Lloyd to recommend to the Village Board to amend part of Outlot 7 (Parcel No. 6517150844055) from Conservation and Open Space District to R-1 (Residential). Motion carried on a voice vote with all present, except Martin, voting aye. Martin voted nay. Motion was made by Drinkwater/Sorensen to adjourn at 5:58 PM.
