SPECIAL VILLAGE BOARD MEETING
Tuesday August 26, 2025
Village Hall

6:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order at 6:04 pm by Village President Tim Gorsegner. Roll call:
Ball, Deichl, Gorsegner, Petruska, Smith, Tucker, Wallace- present. Attorney Ryan Heiden also
present
New Business
A. Wallace/Smith motion to go into closed session at 6:05 pm pursuant to State Statute
19.85(1)(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation
data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises
responsibility. Specifically, the Public Safety Director and Police Chief’s position. Roll call
vote: Ball, Deichl, Petruska, Gorsegner, Smith, Tucker, Wallace-aye-motion carried.
B. Wallace/Petruska motion to convene into open session at 7:27 pm pursuant to §19.85(2),
Stats., for possible additional discussion and action concerning any matter discussed. Roll
call vote: Gorsegner, Petruska, Smith, Tucker, Wallace-Aye. Motion carried. No action
taken.
Petruska/Ball motion to adjourn at 7:28 pm. All ayes-motion carried.

1. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village Board of the Village of Palmyra may convene into
closed session pursuant to State Statute 19.85(1)(c) Considering employment, promotion,
compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the
governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Specifically, the Public Safety
Director and Police Chief’s position.
2. You are further notified that at the end of the Closed Session, the Board may convene in
open session pursuant to §19.85(2), Stats., for possible additional discussion and action
concerning any matter discussed.
