Consider a Resolution endorsing a state-wide comprehensive transportation plan. Action – Motion to approve/not approve A RESOLUTION ENDORSING TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CITY OF PAOLA, MIAMI COUNTY, KANSAS CONCERNING THE ENACTMENT BY THE KANSAS LEGISLATURE OF A NEW STATE-WIDE COMPREHENSIVE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM . Presentation from Piper Jaffray on the results on the negotiated sale of the bonds for the Paola Fire Station and Paola Community Center improvements. Note: The results of the negotiated sale will be compiled on Tuesday morning September 9th and presented to the Council on Tuesday evening. d. Consider approval of an Ordinance authorizing the issuance of bonds to finance the Paola Fire Station and Paola Community Center improvements and approve the leases on these buildings with the Paola, Kansas Public Building Commission. Action – Motion to approve/not approve AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PAOLA, KANSAS, APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF $3,660,000 AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF THE PAOLA, KANSAS PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 2008 TO PAY THE COSTS OF RECONSTRUCTING AND EQUIPPING A BUILDING AS A NEW CITY FIRE STATION FACILITY AND RENOVATING AND REPAIRING THE COMMUNITY CENTER; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE OF THE FACILITIES BY THE CITY FROM THE PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A BOND PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND OTHER NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE TRANSACTIONS AUTHORIZED HEREIN.
